Increased Penalties under the Navigation Act



The Navigation Amendment Act 2005 (Cth) which commenced 18 April 2005, changes three key areas in the Navigation Act 1912 (Cth) which deal with the rendering of assistance to vessels involved in a collision, vessels in distress and the prevention of collisions.
