Maritime Legislation Amendment Act 2006



The Maritime Legislation Amendment Act 2006 ("Amending Act") makes small but significant amendments to four pieces of maritime legislation. The Amending Act amends the Navigation Act 1912, the Protection of the Sea (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act 1983, Shipping Registration Act 1981 and the Lighthouses Act 1911. The Amending Act received Royal Assent on the 6 April 2006, however as the amendments commence over the next six months please note the commencement dates included below.
